What

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Pendleton are working on long-range plans for the I-84 Exits 207 (Airport area) and 210 (OR 11/Nye Avenue) interchanges. The goal of these plans is to protect the function of each interchange over the next 20 years.

When complete, the plans may include strategies to improve:

The plans may also include modifications to public and private property access as parcels redevelop over time.

Why

Growth is expected near each interchange over the next 20 years. Interchanges represent a significant investment by the public in the transportation system and it is important to protect that investment. Planning for the future now can help maintain or improve traffic flow and safety for all users of the system, while also avoiding the need for more expensive projects later on.
