About
The City of Lynn is committed to provide a comfortable and safe walking and bicycling network for the community. Kittelson & Associates, Inc (Kittelson) is excited to work with the city to bring this vision to reality.
The Lynn Walking and Bicycling Network Plan will result in:
- Creating a route and design for on-street bike facilities from Western Avenue to Downtown and to Nahant Beach
- Planning for extension of the Community Path of Lynn on the rail corridor from Western Avenue to the waterfront
The biking and walking route to the Lynn Shore and Nahant Beach Reservation will connect with the Community Path of Lynn at Western Avenue near the Market Basket. The Community Path of Lynn, up to Western Avenue, is part of a longer regional path -- the Northern Strand, which passes through Everett, Malden, Revere, Saugus, and Lynn.
The Lynn Walking and Bicycling Network Plan is focused on how to take the route from its approach to Western Ave to the shore.
